The weather was sunny and very humid, with only a very light breeze initially, that faded to to almost no wind for most of the morning.

John W was SDC and Peter, Michael S and Clare managed the docking of the boats. Wilma did a great job as registrar and Ros helped with the client’s preparations for sailing.
Cory as usual marshalled the sailing operations and Warwick and David shared the skippering of Charlies Chariot, with Eli observing.

The first client to arrive was the lovely Grace who immediately went for a sail with Jeremy. Then Kyle, James and Eddie from Catholic Care arrived and enjoyed a sail in the dying breeze. Sailors for the day were Jeremy, Jim, Brian, John P, Denis and Michael B.

After Shane went sailing, we welcomed for the first time Zadaf, Andy and six year old Scarlett from Sargood. They all enjoyed their time on the water but were assured that its more fun when there is wind.

Our regulars from Northside, James, Alyce, Greg, Ella and Tarek then went for a sail or a runaround on Charlies Chariot, and the last of our clients for the day were our regulars, Hanlin and Ben B.

Despite the heat and lack of decent sailing breeze all the volunteers pitched in willingly, to once again provide our guests with a memorable experience.
