Perfect weather this morning saw our keen volunteers getting out 5 303’s and one 2.3 to accommodate the people who had booked in for a sail.

Ralph rowed over to pick up Charlie’s Chariot, while Denis, Ray, Caroline, Jim, Ivan, Crosbie, Jack and Kevin quickly rigged the boats and got them down to the pontoon. The radio was the only problem, having rusted through the connectors, so we needed to put out the hand-helds. By this time, Megan, the new home owner, Alan, Grace and Tony had arrived, so we were able to start quite early. Juliette, Ken and Ralph were in charge of Charlie’s Chariot, Jim on the pontoon, Caroline the Sailing Coordinator, Natalie our Registrar, Ray the time –keeper and radio operator, Vince helping on the pontoon, while Jay, Denis and Michael were helping up on deck.

Sailors Ivan, Crosbie, Jack, Peter, David kept up a steady routine of changeovers, while Judy, Sebastien, Pablo, Joan, Vanessa while we waited for the BIRDS Group.

Carlos, Daniel, May, Dirk, Brad, Stuart, Robert, Roger and last of all Danielle, who took over Clea when Alan had finished, all had a pleasant sail in the mild North Westerly breeze.

Helen started the barbecue, resulting in every one of our sailors as well as several members of the public who happened to be on the deck of Manly Yacht Club tucking in to a delicious meal.
