It was a warm summer day with light winds on Manly Cove today. With limited number of volunteers, we worked well as a team to give about 18 clients a good day out sailing. Caroline was multi-tasking on the Registration, life jacket donning and helping out on the pontoon when required. We missed Helen and hope she is recovering well. Warwick our hard-working President and ever reliable volunteer helped out everywhere and was there to the end helping with the packing up, even with the temperature rising in the middle of the day. A couple of our volunteers went home early.
Shane came early and had a long sail with John. It was Con’s first experience of sailing from Unisson Disability and after a few minutes in the boat with to get used to the motion Con went off with Skye to enjoy a sail around the moored boats. Danielle returned from her holiday overseas to join us for a sail. We had some first time sailors from Luz All Abilities and our regular sailors from Sydney Community Services who also enjoyed the day.
