Despite wind gusting 27kts on the main harbour Warwick made the correct judgement call that Manly Cove would be a bit protected from the nor’easter. With nine volunteers we put five boats on the water and had over 10 clients from Sargood and Anneliese as well as two private clients.. In our waiting time before the clients arrived we also took out a Manly Sailing customer in a 303 and his mother in Charlie’s Chariot. John M and Peter B did a good job in Charlie’s Chariot.
Even though it was a late start due to the late arrival of the clients the skippers were then kept busy in the gusty conditions but at least the sailing was in flat water. It was also busy on the pontoon with a number of clients requiring to be lifted in/out with the crane as well as working around Manly Sailing’s kayak hires and kid’s school holiday sailing program.
Overall, it was a successful day’s sailing with no incidents.
