The weather was ideal for our regatta to round off the year, with light SE winds and a sunny sky. Bruce and Pam Davis once again managed the race aboard Carlisle and Jim, with the help of new volunteers Max and Hugo helped lay the marks for the race.

The first race saw Woody, sailed by Denis and Nola edge ahead of Jeremy and Ken in Vin, followed by Sophie and Caroline in Ralph Newman and Warwick with new volunteer Victoria in Dolly Wallis. Ros and Michael in Alex Martin came on 5th with the Vikings Ragnhild and Wolfie in Eli D fighting off a fast-finishing Helene and Ivan in Black Swan.

Vin managed to win the second race from Woody with a very close 3rd place going to Dolly Wallis, just ahead of Ralph Newman and Alex Martin, followed by Eli D and Black Swan.
This set up a very intriguing situation for the deciding last race with Denis and Jeremy on equal first place on points and Warwick and Sophie on equal points for third place.

Vin and Woody were neck and neck up the course, with Vin just ahead until the last mark where Woody turned just ahead. The run to the finish line was very tight and the judge could not separate them as they crossed the line together. Dolly Wallace finished ahead of Black Swan, Ralph Newman, Eli D and Alex Martin.

Denis and Jeremy were awarded equal first place for the regatta and Warwick prevailed to come in third place, followed by Sophie and Ros. Ragnhild and Helene tied for equal 6th place and Ragnhild was the most consistent competitor by finishing 6th in each of the three races, and 6th overall.

Thanks to all the competitors, Bruce and Pam Davis, the support boat crew and all the onshore supporters, particularly Eli, Joe, Helen and Val for making the day such a success.
