On a very windy Wednesday Caroline, Eli, Maggi and Helen took ourselves down to DYRSL to publicise our activity, along with around 30 other Volunteering Photo taken at the Volunteer Expo at Dee Why, Brad Hazard opening the Volunteer Expo.organisations. It was an extremely well-run Forum, with each volunteering group able to hang pictures and banners, decorate their tables, and hand out brochures to all interested people. We were shoulder to shoulder with organisations like Bush Fire Brigade, Life Line, Meals on Wheels, etc, and table holders were kept busy explaining their operations, taking lists of names, handing out lollies, and inviting people to take part.
At the Sailability table, our team took 12 names and addresses. All of these people have now been contacted, and will come down to Sailability to try volunteering over the next few weeks.
