A beautiful sunny Autumn Day with light winds made it a fun day for all our participants and our 16 volunteers. Marc, Adam and Elizabeth came early and had a good hour’s sailing before Northside, Catholic Care and Sunnyfields sailors arrived. We had almost 20 sailors in total today and all had a fabulous sail in the Hansas with no one choosing to have a spin in Charlie’s Chariot.
Thank you for all the carers today who showed kindness and attentiveness to their clients all part of the teamwork that make our Sailing Days enjoyable.
Ivan sailed solo in Cleo and had a good two-hour sail but would have liked a more challenging wind. Cleo must be performing well after its great result in the World Hansa Championships held last month on Pittwater, Northern Beaches, coming 1st in the first race, 3rd in the next race and 4th overall in its Hansa class 301. Congratulations goes to our very regular volunteer Michael for his grand achievement in the World Hansa Championships coming 6th in the state of NSW and 73rd over all against 200 competitors from around the world.
