Our great teams sailing this morning all arrived at around the same time because of a massive hold-up in traffic on Mona Vale Road earlier in the morning, making it difficult getting to the centres. This created an opportunity for long, drawn out morning teas, and a chat and exchange of information for the carers. Sunshine sent 2 groups, from 2 different centres. Millie, Brodie, Anna and Georgia came first, then Ashley, Derek and Judy in the second group. Millie was her beautiful bright self, always standing back and letting ‘someone else’ go next. Jonathan arrived with Doug for a ride on Charlie’s Chariot this morning. Then Ross, Nina, Tiara, Denis, David, Mikey, Paul and Stefan from House With No Steps.

Travis arrived next, and was full of language. He said that sailing was awesome, much to the amazement of his carer, Mark. Matt, Sascha, Alan and Les arrived from Catholic Care, Waitara, then last of all, Lauren, Jackson and Alessandro from Afford, over in Ashfield.

All taken together, a most successful morning, in spite of the continually threatening, but never arriving rain, and the distinct lack of a worthwhile breeze.

We had a visit this morning from a lovely English Lady, Meg, from Wealdon Sailability in Kent, UK. This amazing character kept us all amused with her tales from home, and became a marvellous observer on the Support Boat.
