Our volunteer team arrived early to set up the boats, arrange the life-jackets, registration table, cups of tea and coffee, and collect Charlie’s Chariot from the mooring.

Today’s team was:

Sailing Coordinator, Time Keeper: Brian.                                   Boat Operations Manager: David G.

Support Boat Driver: Warwick.                                                  Registrar: Helen

Life Jacket Coordinator: Wilma                                                 Observer: Corey

Photographer: Ken                                                                   Pontoon Manager: Malcolm

Deckhands: Philip, Jim, Alison, Jae, Tory.                                  Sailors: Ivan, John, David W, Col, Michael, Steve.

Participants who experienced and enjoyed the perfect Winter’s Day were: Elias, John, Paul, Jimmy, from St Ives; Ania, Charley, Stephen, Shelley, Allyssa from Pymble; Izzabel, Isaak, and Liam from Royal Far West School; and Lachlan, Dax, Jayden, Samuel, Riley, Talon, Heath, James, Soraya, Oliver from DY School Special Class.

Thanks so much to the helpers this morning, everyone had a most enjoyable day, Liam, Alyssa, Ania simply enjoying the sunshine and relaxed atmosphere up on the deck, John, Charley and Stephen had a Support Boat ride, and the rest had a fabulous sail in the perfect 6 to 18 knot westerly conditions.

We noticed that some of the DY children are competently steering the boats around the bay and arriving back at the pontoon with a flourish, while others are sitting in the boats and enjoying the rhythm of the water, the fresh air, and the wonderful aquatic atmosphere.
