The day started very cold and cloudy with winds pushing over 15 knots, but turned into a perfect day. The breeze held around 12 to 14 knots and the sun came out, so after all the rain it was a welcome sight. We had a wonderful turnout of 14 volunteers and 5 boats into the water.
Out on the water we had Stephen, Malcolm, John, John W and Michael. Peter, Brian and Mai did a wonderful job manning the pontoon, while Dennis, Caroline and Jackie looked after the upper deck. Corey provided his skilled radio officer duties, while David, Ken and Warwick looked after Charlie’s Chariot.
We had a very special guest James Griffin, who was taken out for a spin on the water in Charlie’s Chariots to see the action on the water.
Unfortunately Birds were unable to come, but we had 5 individual members joining us today.
Everybody had a great sail, first time for Collie, while our regulars Gracie, Therese, Tom and Mathew enjoyed the beautiful day.
Overall a relaxed enjoyable day on the water, thank you everyone, a great team.
